Develop your program assessment skills with ABET's series of one-day workshops. Participants will broaden their understanding of the continuous improvement of student learning through the design of assessment processes, development of measurable learning outcomes, and application of data collection and data reporting methods.

Workshops are facilitated by highly experienced faculty with wide-ranging experience in assessment and evaluation.

Fundamentals of Program Assessment

This one-day workshop is for those who are new to program assessment. The interactive sessions focus on designing program educational objectives, making student outcomes measurable, creating rubrics, and analyzing assessment data.

The workshop focuses primarily on ABET Criterion 2: Program Educational Objectives, Criterion 3: Student Outcomes and Criterion 4: Continuous Improvement.

Advanced Program Assessment

Building off of the principles taught in Fundamentals of Program Assessment, this interactive workshop takes a closer look at program assessment. Designed for the more experienced with assessment, participants will look deeper into the elements of a conceptual model for continuous improvement, use case studies to Evaluate PEOs, and engage in activities that will teach them to critique the characteristics of well-defined Student Outcomes.

This workshop is for those who have already attended Fundamentals of Program Assessment or IDEAL.

Originally, "ABET" stood for "the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology." The organization changed its name to simply "ABET" in 2005.
