Have you signed up for the Program Assessment Workshops on Saturday, February 18, yet? If not, you should! These helpful, one-day sessions teach participants about designing assessment processes, developing measurable learning outcomes, and applying data collection methods. Workshops will be held simultaneously in Charlotte, Houston, and Phoenix, but spaces for each session are filling up quickly. Register today, or you might miss your chance to attend the session that is most convenient for you!
If you are attending the 2012 ABET Symposium on April 19-21 in St. Louis, you will want to register by Wednesday, February 29. After all, the early bird gets the worm! Sign up for the two-day Symposium and save $100, or register for Thursday's Program Assessment Workshop and the Symposium at the same time to receive a $150 discount! Don’t forget that current ABET volunteers and teams of three or more people from the same institution registering at the same time are eligible for discounts as well! Learn more about the Symposium here, and register now to lock in these incredible rates!
Once again, ABET is offering those ultra-affordable, three-hour Pre-Symposium Workshops, on Thursday, April 19, right before the two-day Symposium in St. Louis. However, there will be two rounds of workshops, one set in the morning and another in the afternoon. This way, participants can explore two topics in-depth before the Symposium itself even begins! Registration for these Pre-Symposium Workshops is only $80 each. Space is limited, so sign up for the Pre-Symposium Workshops of your choice today!
ABET confers three major annual awards: the Linton E. Grinter Distinguished Service Award, the Fellow of ABET Award, and the Claire L. Felbinger Award for Diversity. Current and former ABET volunteers are invited to nominate their colleagues for the Linton E. Grinter Distinguished Service Award and the Fellow of ABET Award. The Claire L. Felbinger Award for Diversity is open to individuals, educational units, and organizations, and self-nominations are encouraged. Learn more about each of these awards here. The deadline to submit all nominations is Thursday, May 31.
