ANSAC

The Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission (ANSAC) Program Criteria for Master’s Level Construction Management and Similarly Named programs was approved by the ANSAC on July 15, 2017.

A motion will be brought to the Applied and Natural Science Area Delegation on Friday, October 20, 2017 for possible approval for this Program Criteria to go into effect for the 2018 – 2019 accreditation cycle.

CAC

The Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) General Criteria 3 & 5 and Program Criteria for Computer Science, Information Technology & Information Systems was approved by the CAC on July 15, 2017.

A motion will be brought to the Computing Area Delegation on Friday, October 20, 2017 for possible approval for this General and Program Criteria to go into effect for the 2018 – 2019 accreditation cycle.

Once approved, institutions that are bringing in their programs for review in the 2018 – 2019 accreditation cycle will have the choice to use the existing criteria ( 2018 – 2019 Version 1.0) or the newly approved criteria (2018-2019 Version 2.0).

For the 2019 – 2020 Cycle, if approved, the new General and Program Criteria will be mandatory.

On August 7, 2017 the Computing Area Delegation formally approved Program Criteria for Cybersecurity and Similarly Named Computing programs for public review and comment.

This Program Criteria is now open for public comment through June 15, 2018.

EAC

A motion with supporting text to request approval of Engineering General Criteria 3 & 5 was approved by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) on July 15, 2017.

The motion will be brought to the Engineering Area Delegation on Friday, October 20, 2017 for possible approval for the changes to go into effect for the 2019 – 2020 accreditation cycle.

The General Criteria for Baccalaureate Level Programs that will be in effect for the 2018 – 2019 accreditation cycle will not include these changes.  If approved, the 2019 – 2020 General Criteria for Baccalaureate Level Programs Criteria 3 & 5 will be available for reference in the back of the 2019 -2020 Criteria for Accrediting Engineering Programs document that will be published no later than December 1, 2017.
