ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is an international organization that fulfills its mission of advancing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education. ASHRAE is the world’s foremost technical society in the fields of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R). The Society helps ensure energy efficient buildings, keep indoor environments comfortable and productive, deliver healthy food to consumers and preserve the outdoor environment.

ASHRAE’s technical foundation is built by more than 50,000 volunteer members in more than 133 countries. ASHRAE membership includes consulting engineers, contractors, manufacturers, manufacturing representatives/sales, and architects.
