Developing Systematic Processes

This document provides one example of how a program can develop a
systematic process over time that attempts to level out the workload
for continuous quality improvement of academic programs.

Assessment101 article, piloting surveys is one of several
steps that can be taken to help ensure they're effective.
Assessment Planning Matrix (doc)
This is one
example of how your assessment process can be documented and
communicated to various constituents (faculty, students, accreditors,
etc.). Terms are defined and an example of a completed matrix is
given. The matrix is in Word format so you can download and modify
for your own use. Please note the embedded links which take you to
definitions and websites.
Assessment Planning Flow Chart This is an interactive CD-ROM that provides a guide through the stages of
assessment planning at the program and institutional levels. In
addition to the interactive Flow Chart, it contains assessment references that
assist in providing a context for the assessment process.
