Is Your Program Recognized?

Graduates of programs based in the United Kingdom: Please email ABET’s International Relations Manager to determine if your program is recognized by the Dublin Accord.

All other graduates: Answer the following questions to determine if the program you graduated from is recognized by the Dublin Accord.

1. Did you graduate from a two-year, engineering technician program on or after 2002?

  • Yes: Proceed to next question
  • No: Program not recognized by the Dublin Accord. The Dublin Accord was established in 2002, therefore, it applies only to students who graduated in 2002 or later. It also applies only to two-year engineering technician programs.

2. Did you graduate from an engineering technician program based in one of the following jurisdictions: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, the U.K. or the U.S.?

  • Yes: Proceed to next question
  • No: Program not recognized by the Dublin Accord. The Dublin Accord applies only to two-year engineering technician programs based in the jurisdictions listed above.

3. Was your program accredited by the relevant signatory at the time of your graduation? Check the accreditation status:

Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ)
Engineering Council South Africa (ECSA) [PDF]

  • Yes: Proceed to next question
  • No: Program not recognized by the Dublin Accord. The Dublin Accord applies only to programs accredited by the appropriate signatory at the time of your graduation.

4. Was the home signatory a full signatory of the Dublin Accord at the time of your graduation? Admission dates can be found in parenthesis in this listing of signatories.

  • Yes: The program you graduated from is recognized under the Dublin Accord.
  • No: The program you graduated from is not recognized by the Dublin Accord. The accrediting organization must have been a full signatory to the Dublin Accord at the time of your graduation.
