Is Your Program Recognized?

Graduates of programs based in the United Kingdom: Please email ABET’s International Relations Manager to determine if your program is recognized by the Sydney Accord.

All other graduates: Answer the following questions to determine if the program you graduated from is recognized by the Sydney Accord.

1. Did you graduate from a four-year, bachelor’s level engineering technology program on or after 2001?

  • Yes: Proceed to next question
  • No: Program not recognized by the Sydney Accord. The Sydney Accord was established in 2001, therefore, it applies only to students who graduated in 2001 or later. It also applies only to four-year, bachelor’s level engineering technology programs.

2. Did you graduate from an engineering technology program based in one of the following jurisdictions: Australia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, the United Kingdom or the U.S.?

  • Yes: Proceed to next question
  • No: Program not recognized by the Sydney Accord. The Sydney Accord applies only to four-year engineering technology programs based in the jurisdictions listed above.

3. Was your program accredited by the relevant signatory at the time of your graduation? Check the accreditation status:

  • Yes: Proceed to next question
  • No: Program not recognized by the Sydney Accord. The Sydney Accord applies only to programs accredited by the appropriate signatory at the time of your graduation.

4. Was the home signatory a full signatory of the Sydney Accord at the time of your graduation? Admission dates can be found in parenthesis in this listing of signatories.

  • Yes: The program you graduated from is recognized under the Sydney Accord.
  • No: The program you graduated from is not recognized by the Sydney Accord. The accrediting organization must have been a full signatory to the Sydney Accord at the time of your graduation.
