Meeting Requirements for EAC Criterion 3: Student Outcomes, 2011-2012 Review Cycle and Forward

Many engineering programs express their Student Outcomes differently than the (a) through (k) or (a) through (i) listed in EAC Criterion 3: Student Outcomes. Even though a program may choose to use its own set of Student Outcomes, there are several things to keep in mind. This Accreditation Alert is relevant for EAC criteria beginning with the 2011-2012 review cycle and forward. 

Changed Definitions for Program Educational Objectives, 2011-2012 Review Cycle and Forward

The previous definition of a Program Educational Objective as "career and professional accomplishments that the program is preparing graduates to achieve" has changed to "what graduates are expected to attain within a few years of graduation." This change affects all Accreditation Commissions and is relevant for the 2011-2012 review cycle and forward.
