ABET Regrets Loss of Board Member Ray M. Haynes, Ph.D.

Esteemed ABET volunteer Ray Meredith Haynes, Ph.D., died suddenly on Sunday, September 22, 2013. Haynes was serving as a Director on the ABET Board of Directors from the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and as the Board Liaison to the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) at the time of his death.

What Does ABET Stand For?

Originally, "ABET" stood for "the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology." The organization changed its name to simply "ABET" in 2005.
