This survey is designed to collect feedback on ABET’s policy and role with respect to diversity and inclusion, and is being conducted independently of the survey on proposed changes to Criterion 3 and 5.
The ABET Board of Directors created the Ad Hoc Subcommittee on Diversity and Inclusion in September 2015, and it was given the following tasks:
- Review and either affirm or recommend revisions to ABET’s policy on diversity and inclusion.
- Reconsider ABET’s role in supporting diverse learner populations within the broad range of ABET accredited programs and to make recommendations to the ABET Council in this regard.
The ideas recorded in this survey will be reviewed by the Subcommittee on Diversity and Inclusion, and incorporated into their recommendations to the ABET Board of Directors.
