Curricular Responsibilities

Cooperating Society for Biological, Computer, and Information Engineering Technology

Founded in 1985, CSAB serves as a participating body of ABET, with three members on the ABET Board of Directors. CSAB has responsibility for the development of accreditation criteria and for the selection and training of program evaluators.

CSAB is governed by its Board of Directors whose members are appointed by the its member societies, the two largest technical, educational, and scientific societies in the computer and computer-related fields:

• Association for Computing Machinery, Inc. (ACM) 
• IEEE-Computer Society (IEEE-CS)
