Whether your discipline is in engineering, engineering technology, computing, or applied and natural sciences, these sessions will prepare your program for continuous improvement year after year.

Self-Study Development Workshop

Through group activities led by senior ABET volunteer leadership, participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to apply what they learn to their own accreditation preparation. Discover what review teams look for during an accreditation visit and work through the development of a clear, concise and targeted Self-Study report.

Registration Note: This workshop will be taking place during The ABET Symposium. The registration link below will take you to our ABET Symposium 2027 registration page, where you can book your spot for just the workshop or bundle it with The ABET Symposium. Participation is limited to two people per institution. Registration is first-come, first-served and only the first two registrations from each institution will be honored. Tables will be grouped by commission, so please select the correct commission when registering. There will be no waitlist or walk-in registration.

Focusing on practical strategies for managing the self-study process, site visits and meeting accreditation requirements, this workshop will deepen your understanding of ABET General and Program Criteria for computing programs, examine common pitfalls and apply their knowledge in interactive breakout sessions.
