The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has recognized ABET Chief Accreditation Officer Dr. Ann L. Kenimer with its 2025 Massey-Ferguson Educational Gold Medal. Kenimer received the award at the ASABE Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada on July 16.
One of the organization’s three major annual awards, the Massey-Ferguson Educational Gold Medal honors those whose dedication to the spirit of learning and teaching in the field of agricultural engineering has advanced agricultural knowledge and practice, and whose efforts serve as an inspiration to others. Established in 1965, the award is named for Daniel Massey, pioneer innovator and agricultural machinery manufacturer, and Harry Ferguson, inventor and ardent exponent of agricultural mechanization.
“This prestigious recognition is a testament to Ann’s outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to academic excellence,” said ABET COO and CFO Jessica Silwick. “It is a privilege to work alongside such an accomplished leader, and we are thrilled to celebrate her for this inspiring achievement.”
Prior to becoming ABET CAO in 2024, Kenimer spent three decades on the faculty at Texas A&M University, where she helped shape the university’s programs and supported student success. Now, she’s building on over 20 years of dedicated volunteer service at ABET to lead the accreditation department and continue setting the gold standard for quality assurance in STEM education worldwide.

ASABE is an ABET member society dedicated to advancing global well-being by addressing critical challenges in food security, water access and environmental sustainability. As the lead society representing agricultural and biological engineering, ASABE members contribute to ABET policy and strategy, help develop criteria and ensure that academic programs meet the evolving needs of the professions that ASABE serves.
A member-driven nonprofit, ASABE’s mission aligns closely with that of ABET. Each organization is committed to advancing innovation, promoting excellence in education and preparing graduates to build a world that is more efficient and sustainable for all.
“This extraordinary recognition is a powerful testament to Ann’s lifelong commitment to engineering education,” said ABET CEO Dr. Michael K.J. Milligan. “Her work embodies the spirit of the medal — advancing knowledge, empowering future generations and inspiring a global community of learners. We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor, which reflects not only Ann’s impact on the field, but also the values that drive our mission forward every day.”
