Monte L. Phillips, Ph.D., P.E., F.NSPE, from Park Rapids, Minnesota, is the recipient of the 2013 National Society of Professionals Engineers (NSPE) Award, the Society’s highest honor. He is recognized for the many contributions he has made to the engineering profession, for his work as an engineering educator, and the numerous volunteer leadership roles he has undertaken on behalf of NSPE and the engineering profession over the past four decades.
