The Engineering Area Delegation of ABET has approved the release of program criteria for public review and comment. This gives the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) Criteria Committee an opportunity to collect constituent feedback while ensuring that the proposed changes, revisions and criteria are as clear, effective and inclusive as possible.
The following proposed revisions to existing program criteria are open for public review and comment:
- Proposed Program Criteria for Fire Protection and Similarly Named Engineering Programs,
- Geological Engineering and Similarly Named Engineering Programs,
- Materials, Metallurgical, Ceramics and Similarly Named Engineering Programs,
- Mining and Similarly Named Engineering Programs, and
- Systems and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.
In addition, the EAC Criteria Committee approved the release of proposed program criteria in a new discipline area: Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgical and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.
