The ABET Board of Directors has voted to move forward with virtual program reviews for the 2021-2022 accreditation cycle, and all program reviews this cycle will be conducted remotely. This means ABET representatives will not physically visit campuses but instead will conduct the reviews by means of video conference, electronic document management systems and email.

ABET successfully completed more than 800 virtual program reviews in the 2020-2021 accreditation cycle. Our staff and the Commission Executive Committees will continue to closely monitor the details of the virtual reviews to ensure the highest standard of integrity and quality.

Our COVID-19 updates page contains more information regarding pandemic-related changes. Please contact accreditation@abet.org with any questions you may have about program delivery or planning for an upcoming review.

As we navigate these challenges together, please be assured that we are committed to supporting our common goal of ensuring our world’s sustainability, safety, health and well-being. We look forward to returning to normal program review visits as soon as possible.
