On October 30, we honored this year’s ABET Awards recipients at the 2021 ABET Awards Celebration. The celebration is held to recognize the achievements of some of our most dedicated ABET Experts, as well as people and institutions that have made outstanding contributions to technical education in the areas of innovation and diversity and inclusion.
Our foundation, ABET Bridge, sponsored the $10,000 USD cash prize for the ABET Innovation Award and the $10,000 USD cash prize for the Claire L. Felbinger Award for Diversity and Inclusion.
The following awards were conferred at the 2020 ABET Awards Celebration:
- 2021 ABET Innovation Award: Villanova University College of Engineering Career Compass Program
- 2021 Claire L. Felbinger Award for Diversity and Inclusion: Sheryl A. Sorby
- 2021 ABET Fellow Awards: John K. Estell, Hamid Fonooni, Tom Hall, John H. Koon, Cary Laxer
- Linton E. Grinter Distinguished Service Award: Frank Hart
